I am depressed. Sunday afternoons do that to me oftentimes, especially during the school year. I want to write a book but I am too lazy. I am too lazy, in fact, to finish this entry.

A bit about me... I was raised in a small town in central Mississippi, graduate of Miss Mattie's Kindergarten, Robertsville Grade School, Harlow Junior High, and Pacific Street High School, in that order. I am not a Denker, but I am related to the Denkers on my mother's side. Anyone from that area of the country is familiar with the Denkers, or at least some of the Denkers. One out of every 20 or 25 Denkers is a nut, a certified nut. My mother was a Denker before she married my dad, Bill Redding, but she's not a nut. She's a psychologist. More about that later.
My mother's brother, Lonell Smith Denker, was the nut in our part of the clan. He was certified, or at least he would have been had there been a certification for nutness back then. I knew him as Uncle L, but he went by many names. To know me, and to understand how George came into my life and changed everything about me, about my family, and indeed about the county, you have to understand my Uncle L. Coming up.
